He was returning to the country for that purpose. But then Wednesday midnight, a new complication was created. If everything goes well, Shakib was supposed to return home on Thursday. He came to the United Arab Emirates from the United States for that purpose. But from there, Shakib did not board the country's plane. Tiger cricketer is currently staying in Dubai.

Students have been protesting around the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium for the past few days following the news of Shakib's arrival in the country. He gave various slogans against Shakib. They also demanded that this left-handed cricketer should not be allowed to come to the country.

Meanwhile, the anti-discrimination student movement referred to Shakib as a friend of dictatorship. Shakib's effigy was burnt by protesting students in Dhaka University on Wednesday. The students held this program under the banner of 'Cricket Lovers Janata' at Raju Bhaskar. A section of the anti-discrimination student movement is scheduled to submit a memorandum to the BCB today (Thursday).

In such a situation, BCB banned Shakib from coming to the country for the time being. It has been said to stay in Dubai for the time being. Shakib will return to the country only after receiving the green signal from the cricket governing body.

Earlier, Shakib announced his retirement from Tests and T20Is in the India series. The left-handed all-rounder said that he wants to retire from Tests after playing the South Africa series on the country's soil. In the end, whether Shakib will leave the country or not, there is a fear.

Bangladesh will play a two-match Test series against South Africa. The first Test against the Proteas will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (October 21-25). The second Test will be held at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong (October 29 to November 2).
