Eyewitnesses said that after the hearing of the former mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation, Atiqul Islam, when he was taken from the court to the jail, the victim lawyer A ZM Fariduzzaman started shouting slogans and some pro-BNP lawyers beat him. At that time, he was kicked and kicked by angry lawyers.

The victim's lawyer did not want to give any statement in this regard.

Earlier on last Tuesday (October 15) afternoon, some lawyers shouted slogans like 'Jai Bangla' and 'Jongoy Bangabandhu' at the CMM court premises in Dhaka when former minister Farooq Khan was taken to the courthouse after being remanded.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday morning, it has been demanded to immediately remove the judges who are friends of fascism and to prosecute those who raised slogans in favor of the mass murderers in the court premises.

The legal wing of the National Citizens Committee raised this demand from a protest rally at the High Court premises at 11:30 on Wednesday.

Protesters say all people have a right to the protection of the law. But no one has the right to raise slogans or try to rehabilitate a murderer and his gang involved in genocide. We think that chanting slogans in favor of Hasina and Awami League in the court premises is a mockery of the blood of the martyrs and the injured. The slogan of 'Jai Bangla, Jai Bangabandhu' which established the regime of disappearance-murder-corruption-torture of fascism and genocidal Hasina and made martyrs of our brothers and sisters, using the legal profession as a shield, is the same slogan raised by the defeated Mujibist fascists.

BNP has warned to take to the streets if the election date is delayed

Advocate Manzila Jhuma, Advocate Supreme Court, Advocate Humaira Noor, Advocate Zahirul Islam Musa and others spoke at the protest rally. The Supreme Court lawyers spoke in solidarity.
