Education researchers say that the education system is going to fall into extreme uncertainty. The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) says that 80 percent of the work has been completed. It will be finalized soon.
This year class activities were going on from class VI to class IX in the new curriculum. There were many criticisms about this curriculum from the beginning. After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5, the Ministry of Education canceled this course.
Next year, the class activities will continue in the 2012 academic year. After that, the ministry decided to revise and revise the manuscript of various subjects. However, two months left before the end of the year, the work of revising the book has not been completed. Education researchers say that students are in extreme uncertainty in this situation.
Education researcher Mostafizur Rahman said, without determining the curriculum, how will the book be printed, how will the content be fixed? There is extreme uncertainty about the education system in front of the Bangladesh government, it will be a big challenge.
NCTB Chairman Professor Riazul Islam said that the 41-member committee is working on the revision. The work is almost finished. Next year the exam will be the same as before. There will also be departmental divisions. Students will not have any problem.
In this regard, Professor Mojibur Rahman of the Education and Research Institute of Dhaka University says that along with the reformation, the curriculum must also be modernized. However, no clear outline has been found in that regard yet.
