Jumbangla Desk: Draft list of 2025 holidays has been prepared. This list will be sent to the Advisory Council meeting for approval. It will be effective only if passed there. The leave proposal is scheduled to come up in the advisory council meeting tomorrow, Thursday.

It is known that for the year 2025, it has been proposed to declare 12 (bar) days of general holidays and 14 (fourteen) days of public holidays by executive order. That is, total leave proposed (excluding 9 days weekly leave 5 Fridays and 4 Saturdays) is proposed to be 17 days. And total 26 days including Friday and Saturday holidays.

Meanwhile the total leave allowed (2 days weekend excluding Friday) in 2024 AD was 20 days. And there were 22 days including Friday.

Before this, the draft holiday list was sought from the Ministry of Religion and Directorate of Meteorology. Based on the information provided by them, a draft list of holidays will be prepared and sent to the Advisory Council meeting. 2 (two) days of optional leave on the occasion of the main social festival Baisabi or similar social festival for the employees belonging to the minority ethnic group working in Chittagong Hill Tracts and outside the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Among these holidays, 1 (one) weekend (1 Saturday).
