Jumbangla Desk: The Interim Government's Advisory Council has approved the list of public holidays for 2025. Next year there will be 26 days of holidays combined with general and executive orders. Next year, 12 days of general holidays and 14 days of executive order holidays are included in the list of authorized holidays. A total of 4 days leave has increased since last year. In addition, next year's holy Eid-ul-Azha will be 6 days and Eid-ul-Fitr will be a 5-day public holiday. Autumn Durga Puja holiday has been made for 2 days.

Among them, two Eids are a day off. And the rest of the days will be holiday by executive order. Vijay Dashami is a general holiday on the occasion of Autumn Durga Puja. Before that there will be holiday on Navami day by executive order.

Subjects included in the list of approved holidays are:

1- 12 (times) days of general holidays on the occasion of national days and important religious events of various communities. These holidays include 5 weekends (3 Fridays and 2 Saturdays).

2- 14 days official holiday by executive order on the occasion of Bengali New Year and various important religious events; 4 of these are weekends (2 Fridays and 2 Saturdays).

3- Details of religious occasions for the employees of the Republic to enjoy optional leave of not more than 3 days in a year on the occasion of religious occasions.

4- 2 days optional leave on the occasion of celebration of major social festival Baisabi or similar social festival for the employees belonging to various minority groups working in Chittagong Hill Tracts area and outside. Among these holidays is a weekend (1 Saturday).

5- It has been proposed to declare 12 days of general holidays and 14 days of public holidays for the year 2025. That is, the total leave proposed (excluding 5 Fridays and 4 Saturdays out of a 9-day weekend) is 26 days.
