These eggs are being sold in vans from 4 pm on Thursday (October 17) at Bahaddarhat intersection of the city. Five young men are selling these eggs thinking about the poor and underprivileged. Buyers are happy to get eggs at a lower price than the market. Eggs are being sold at Tk 170 per dozen at retail in Chittagong.

For this reason, five friends of ours have taken the initiative to sell eggs at Tk 140 per dozen. Hopefully, seeing us, others will also stand by the common people by selling products at lower prices than the market. By doing this, the shopkeepers will break the syndicate system and sell products at affordable prices.
He further said, 'We will sell these eggs in three different spots for a total of three days. On the first day, I bought three thousand eggs directly from the farm and sold them to the buyer. Tomorrow we will sell another 3000 eggs in Chawkbazar area. We got a lot of response on the first day.'
The price of eggs announced by the government is 11 taka 79 paisa at retail, 11 taka 10 paisa at wholesale and 10 taka 80 paisa at producer level. However, eggs are not being sold anywhere in Chittagong at this price.
However, eggs are still being sold at Tk 170 per dozen in the city's Atura depot area. As such, a copy of the egg is being sold for more than 14 rupees. But the retail price fixed by the government is 11 taka 79 paisa.
