Own Correspondent, Gazipur: Three days after the divorce, the husband set fire to the bodies of his wife and mother-in-law. The wife died in the fire, the mother-in-law is hospitalized. Doctors said that 65 percent of his body was burnt .

The incident took place on Wednesday (October 16) at around 3 am in Ratanpur village of Kaliakair upazila of Gazipur. Since the incident, accused husband Tanveer is absconding.
The deceased is Morsheda Begum (22), daughter of Mukul Ali of Lakshipura area of Natore Sadar. The victim's mother Fuljan Begum (40) was injured in this incident.
Residents said that deceased Morsheda and her husband Tanveer Hossain were staying at Mamunur Rashid's house in Ratanpur Elala. The deceased's mother Fuljan Begum also lived with them. Fuljan Begum works in a local factory. But neither Tanveer nor his wife Morsheda did any such work. On Wednesday around 3 o'clock in the night, suddenly everyone ran after hearing fire and screams in the house. It is seen that there is a fire inside but the door is closed from outside. After breaking the door, Morsheda's body was almost completely burnt. His mother's body was also on fire next to him. Later they were rescued and taken to the hospital where Morsheda died.
Homeowner Parvez said, 'We live on three floors, they live in the sinshade room. After hearing the screams, I saw that two people were burnt. Later they were rescued and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Before her death, Morsheda repeatedly said that my husband set the fire. You save my mother.'
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kaliakor police station Riyad Mahmud said, 'I went to the spot after receiving information that there was a fire. The dead and two injured are in the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College. Collecting evidence from the scene and talking to the locals. Legal action will be taken after investigation.'
