Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Daniel Hagari confirmed on Thursday that Sinwar was killed in Rafah's Tal al-Sultan area.
The Israeli military has released a video of what Sinwar was in before his death. Where Sinwar's last moments are shown.
This news was given by the American media CNN in a report on Friday (October 18).
IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari showed the video at a news briefing on Thursday.
The edited video clip shows a drone hovering over a destroyed building where a man is sitting on a chair. The man the IDF says is Sinwar.
The photo of the man was some distance away from the drone. The person's face is blurred in the video and they appear to be sitting alone.
Hagari said Sinwar was shot in his hand. The edited video shows Sinwar pointing the gun at his hand.
Israel said a drone spotted Sinwar's body in the rubble of the building. The building was hit by an Israeli tank on Wednesday. The Israeli military identified the man as the leader of Hamas only after sending troops on foot.
