Jumbangla Desk: The government has decided the price of eggs at the retail level. If there is sufficient supply of eggs from the producers, the eggs will be sold at the retail level at 48 rupees from today Friday.
The President of Tejgaon Egg Traders Association, Aman Ullah, said this in a discussion meeting on the market of daily commodities including eggs, broiler chicken, potatoes, onions at the Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) building in Motijheel on Thursday (October 17).
He said that the daily demand of eggs in Tejgaon is 20-25 lakh pieces. On the contrary, corporate companies are supplying only 1 million eggs. Additional eggs have to be collected from different sources. However, if the producers supply enough, it will be possible to sell Hali eggs at the retail level at Tk 48 from Friday morning.
According to that, the price will be kept at the wholesale level, said Aman Ullah.
