Jumbangla Desk: The police have arrested a head teacher named Ghiyas Uddin (45) in the case of attack on anti-discrimination student movement march in Feni. He was arrested from his home in Petrobangla in the city on Thursday (October 17) afternoon.

He is the head teacher of Osmania High School in Sonagazi Upazila and vice president of the Union Awami League.

According to the police, Ghiyas Uddin was arrested in the case of attack on a procession adjacent to the big mosque during the student movement. He is the accused in that case.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Ruhul Amin, investigating officer of the case, said that he has been arrested in two cases under the Explosive Substances Act. He was sent to jail on Friday.

Feni Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Maram Singh Tripura said that he was arrested in two cases of attack on the student movement. He is the son of deceased Mokhlesur Rahman of Paikpara village of Bogadana union of Sonagazi upazila.
