Jumbangla Desk: Every family of martyrs killed in July-August anti-discrimination movement will be given 30 lakh rupees for housing. This money will be paid from 'Julai Shaheed Smriti Foundation'.

Mahfuz Alam, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, gave this information in a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy on Hare Road in the capital on Thursday.

Mahfuz Alam said, if it is necessary to pay more money after verification, that will also be done.

He said that not only those who died in the month of July and August are being rehabilitated, but also the families of those who were injured are being given full rehousing. A visible initiative will be taken next week in the matter of full housing for the injured.

In this context, Rizwana Hasan, adviser on environment, forest and climate change, said that if the injured person needs to go outside the country for better treatment, that is being done. A list of seven has already been prepared. If more is needed we will do it.

He said that the government is making it clear again that no negligence will be tolerated in the treatment of the injured. All the public and private hospitals of Bangladesh have been told that they will be treated free of charge. However, those who paid have been told to return their money.

Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam was present in the press conference.
