PTI adamant in protest, emergency declared

PTI Punjab Acting President Hammad Azhar has called upon all party leaders and people from all walks of life to come out for protest.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government has imposed a state of emergency across the province as the PTI refused to protest. This order will continue for the next two days.

A notification issued by the Punjab Home Department said, "Due to the law and order situation and threat perception, all kinds of protests, processions and other such activities have been banned." Moreover, on the request of law enforcement agencies, the Punjab government ordered the closure of all educational institutions in the province.


Meanwhile, PTI Lahore President Sheikh Imtiaz Mahmood announced the protest at Liberty from 2 pm on Friday. On the other hand, Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmed Khan Bhachar slammed Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for calling PTI a terrorist group.
