Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami has complained that the nation has to bear the burden of the oppression of the past dictator. Shafiqur Rahman. He said, except for a handful of miscreants, 18 crore people of this nation are oppressed. This nation still has to bear the burden of that oppression. Still, when people go to the market, their eyes become dark because of the syndicate. The syndicate formed during their tenure has not yet broken the government. Syndicate is not only in the market, office-court-force, there is syndicate everywhere.
Shafiqur Rahman said these words at the Dhaka Metropolitan South Jamaat member conference at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in the capital on Friday morning. He addressed the conference as the chief guest.
Shafiqur Rahman said, the change that this nation expected, the change and reform has not happened yet. Much of it remains unfulfilled. Those who are in charge of the country, the people of the country have given this responsibility to them on the basis of consensus. We will tell them, 18 crore people must be respected. (August 5) You have to move forward with courage to clean up all the mess with the spirit of revolution. Not many people want to see him.
In the conference, Jamaat's Ameer called upon everyone irrespective of party affiliation to build a humane Bangladesh. He said, many challenges are ahead of us. May we all build a humane Bangladesh together. Jamaat-e-Islami alone cannot do it. It is not the work of Jamaat alone. For this, let's say to everyone, forget all differences and unite. Be it for the nation, be it for us, be it for the world, be it for the hereafter.
Before Jamaat Ameer's address, the conference screened a documentary on the brutal Logi-Baitha attack in Paltan on October 28, 2006, the trial of the party's top leaders for war crimes, 15-and-a-half years of torture, murders, and lastly, the massacre last July.
Referring to this, Jamaat Ameer said, in the documentary, we have seen how brutally they were killed. How the ruler of a country stood against the entire youth in his country, stood against 18 crore people. He ordered shoot, kill, protect my mattress.
He said, mattress is not saved like this. They thought they were all. They thought catching was the best knowledge. So not only law enforcers were called in to fire, but helmeted-mug forces were also brought down with weapons.
In this context, Shafiqur Rahman also highlighted the incident of hanging top leaders of Jamaat for crimes against humanity in 1971. He said, false cases will be framed against the leaders (in the coming days), they will be hanged on the gallows, the sun children of the nation will be killed through the heinous lies of the century - this nation will not tolerate it anymore.
Shafiqur Rahman told about the dream of making Bangladesh a safe country for all religions, castes and groups, including women and children, and a career-oriented country for the youth. He said, "educated unemployed, do not want this word anymore." Why would you be unemployed if you are educated, education will give you work. For this we want to turn the hands of the youth into the hands of workers. We do not want to turn the youth into the hands of looters, extortionists. I don't want to hand over illegal weapons to them. We want the hands to be the hands of the worker. Let their youth build the nation they dream of.
Shafiqur Rahman said, We want a country in which from Teknaf to Tentulia, from Jaflong to Sundarbans - a mother, a brother, a sister, a virgin girl will cross the road alone, but no oppressor will dare to raise his eyes. We want to create that place. We want to take mother nation to that status. We want a society without discrimination. The state must ensure the full dignity of every citizen.
Urging everyone to learn from the fallen Awami League government, the Amir of Jamaat said, I and all of us should learn from the consequences of dictatorship. Destruction and humiliation are inevitable for those who walk this path.
He said, they insulted the scholars and ulama, political parties, students, female students. They knew the catch. They were so arrogant that they didn't care about anyone. They enjoyed making fun of people. Allah Ta'ala has given them some of what they owe. The people of this country want to see the rest. But the principal will be owed to the court-finally. If we commit any such wrongdoing, we should also be ready for that debt.
Central Nayeb Amir Syed Abdullah said in the conference. Taher accused the former leaders of Jamaat of being killed in the name of justice and demanded the trial of that judge of the International Tribunal and its mastermind Sheikh Hasina.
Under the chairmanship of Amir Nurul Islam Bulbul of Dhaka Metropolitan South Jamaat and under the direction of Secretary Shafiqul Islam Masud, Assistant Secretary General Rafiqul Islam Khan, Central Executive Council Member Matiur Rahman Akand, Md. Salim Uddin. At that time, the party's Naib Amir Mujibur Rahman and various leaders were present.
