The deceased Farooq Hossain (50) is the son of Abdus Salam of Dhaira village of Sutipara union of the upazila. He himself owns and drives a microbus.

The accident took place at the N&N CNG station in Dhulivita area of ​​Dhamrai town on Friday (October 18) around 12 noon.

According to Dhamrai police station, the person named Farooq Hossain drove his own microbus and went to N&N CNG station in Dhulivita area to refill gas. He got down from the microbus and stood behind the car while refilling the gas. At that time suddenly the cylinder exploded. He died on the spot and one person was injured.


Shahnewaz Mahmud, the son-in-law of the daughter of deceased Farooq Hossain said, "My father-in-law died due to gas cylinder explosion." We are now mentally disturbed, we can tell you the details later.

Nashir Hossain, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Dhamrai Police Station, said that the car's cylinder exploded while taking gas from the car. The driver died on the spot. It is initially known that Farooq Hossain converted the car's LPG cylinder into CNG cylinder recently. It explodes under overpressure while refueling.

Dhamrai Police Inspector (OC Investigation) Md Mokhleshur Rahman said that the body of the deceased has been recovered and the family members have been informed. Further legal action will be taken based on their complaints.
