It is believed that Modi may have an important discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the ongoing war in Ukraine.

In a report on Friday (October 18), the Indian media NDTV gave this news.

According to the report, Russia is the host country of the 16th BRICS Summit this year. The conference will be held in Kazan on October 22-23. Modi will visit Russia on Putin's invitation to attend the summit. According to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Prime Minister Modi will hold bilateral meetings with representatives of BRICS member countries and invited leaders in Kazan during the visit.

In a statement announcing Modi's attendance at the BRICS summit, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said, "The progress of the initiatives taken by the BRICS group will be assessed at this conference. Valuable discussions will be held here to increase cooperation in the future."


BRICS alliance is formed with India, China, Brazil, South Africa and Russia. The new full member countries are - Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Every year one or the other member country organizes the BRICS Summit. The conference of this alliance was held in Johannesburg, South Africa in August last year.

Meanwhile, it is believed that the topic of the bloody war between Russia and Ukraine may be raised at the upcoming international conference of BRICS. As a result, Ukraine is also keeping an eye on Modi's visit and the BRICS summit.
