Erdogan called on the Arab League to impose an arms embargo against Israel at an emergency meeting in Ankara on Friday (October 18).

He also called for strengthening diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict between Israel and Palestine. In addition, the Turkish president advised the Arab League to take immediate and decisive measures against Israel.

Israel has been invading Gaza for more than a year due to the inaction of the Arab countries. Although Egypt, the military powerhouse of the Arab world, is a neighbor of Palestine, they are not taking any role in stopping this invasion. They are not even pressuring Israel. Besides, another neighboring country, Jordan, is also sitting on its hands.

Israel has achieved great success in Gaza amid ongoing ground operations and airstrikes in Lebanon. The leader of the country's freedom fighters, Yahya Sinwar, was killed in an attack by Israeli forces. The country achieved this success at a time when the whole world is once again on the fence about Gaza. Even the United States is unhappy with Israel's actions in Gaza.
