It is known that 60 members of Chandpur district Ansar and VDP were initially mourned for their direct and indirect role in creating chaos in Chandpur and gathering in Dhaka over various demands. Later, pending investigation, 20 Ansar members were suspended and their salaries stopped. 34 Ansar members have been acquitted. Some other Ansar members are still under investigation.
