One of the tourist centers of Khagrachari drowned in Richang waterfall. A teenager named Rakib died. Although the death occurred on Friday afternoon, the diving team recovered his body in the afternoon.

Deceased Rakib was a class VII student of Khagrachari Collegiate High School.

Inspector (Investigation) of Matiranga police station Mohammad Sharif said that Rakib Richang along with four friends went for a walk on Friday afternoon. At this time they went to bathe in a well above the shower. As the depth of the well is greater, at one stage Rakib sinks. He died there. The deceased Rakib's house is in Khagrachari district headquarters.

He also said that the body will be handed over to the family after the legal process.
