The 11th edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will take place after two months. Seven franchises have already formed teams ahead of this tournament. The teams are also arranging the coaching panel. Rangpur Riders have chosen South Africa's Mickey Arthur as their head coach in that vein.

They confirmed Arthur's appointment as coach in a post on social media Facebook on Friday (October 18).

They wrote, 'Welcome to Rangpur Riders Head Coach Mickey Arthur! Rangpur Riders are ready to create a new history by the hands of such a world-class coach.

The former South African cricketer has coached his country as well as Australia, Sri Lanka and Pakistan in his coaching career. Currently, he is in high demand in various franchise tournaments. Following that, he will be seen in the dugout of Rangpur in the upcoming BPL.

The big star of Rangpur this year is former English opener Alex Hales. Apart from this, Nurul Hasan Sohan, who captained the team in the last season, is also staying.

Before the draft they recruited Nurul Hasan Sohan, Sheikh Mehdi Hasan, Mohammad Saifuddin, Alex Hales, Iftekhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah.

Besides, Rangpur took Soumya Sarkar and young stars Nahid Rana, Rezaur Rahman Raja and Rakibul Hasan from the draft.
