The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted rain and thundershowers with gale force winds in six regions of the country. The government agency has asked the river ports of these regions to display warning signals.

This information was given in the forecast given by the Meteorological Department for the inland river ports of the country till 6 pm on Saturday (October 19).

Rain and thundershowers with gusty/gusty wind speed of 45-60 kmph from west/south-west direction may occur over Jessore, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali and Comilla areas by 6 pm, the forecast said. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display the number one warning signal.
