Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Farhana Yasmin sentenced the arrested fishermen to one year's unpaid imprisonment and another month's imprisonment without paying a fine of 1000 taka.

He also said that 25 thousand meters of current net, 39 kg of hilsa fish and a boat were seized from various places in the district in the last 24 hours. Seized nets were destroyed by burning and boats were broken up and destroyed. And hilsa fish is distributed to orphanages.
