Jumbangla Desk: The outsourcing workers of various government institutions have blocked the road at Shahbag intersection of the capital demanding nationalization of jobs. Blockade of roads by outsourcing workers has caused heavy traffic in and around Shahbagh.

They have blocked the road from 10 am today (Saturday). Around 10 am hundreds of employees gathered at Shah Bagh and stopped traffic. At this time, many passengers can be seen getting off the bus and walking towards their destination.

When asked about the incident, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shahbagh Police Station Mohammad Khalid Mansoor said that since this morning, the outsourcing workers of government organizations are holding a road blockade program in Shahbagh area to demand nationalization of jobs. Due to their blocking of this road, severe traffic jam has been created in Shahbagh and its surrounding areas. We are on the spot to control the situation.
