College girl died after being run over by cow thieves' car while trying to save her mother in Nangalkot

Jumbangla Desk: A college student named Farzana Akhtar Pinki (20) of the village died tragically when she was run over by the reckless car of cow thieves while trying to save her mother in Raikot village of Nangalkot, Comilla. The accident happened in front of Raikot New Market Workshop on Taltala-Atgram regional road of upazila on Friday. The deceased Pinki is the daughter of Abdul Quader of Purvapara of Raikot village. He is a second year student of science department of Bangadda Badsha Mia School and College.

 

According to local sources, a cow was tied in front of Abdul Quader's house in Raikot village. At noon, the people of the house go to pray during the Jumma prayer. At that time, a group of 4-5 cow thieves entered their private car and stole the cow. Abdul Quader's wife Achma Begum stopped the thieves and beat and injured her. At Achma's scream, her daughter Pinki came running and the private car stopped in front. At that time, the group of thieves hit the girl and ran away, and she died on the spot.


Abdul Quader, the father of the deceased said, "The group of 4-5 cow thieves were taking my cow into a private car from the front of the house as planned. When my wife stopped me, they beat her. When my daughter Pinky stood in front of the private car, she was hit by the car and died on the spot. I want justice for my daughter's murder.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Nangalkot police station AK Fazlul Haque confirmed the truth of the incident and said that legal action will be taken after investigation.
