Khamenei said his struggle for the resistance front against Israel is certainly painful, but it will not end with Sinwar's martyrdom.
He said in a statement, the Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas survives and will survive.
In his first remarks about Sinwar, Khamenei said Sinwar was a shining figure of resistance and struggle.
Sinwar is seen as the mastermind behind the October 2023 attack on Israel. Which triggered the Gaza war. He was killed on Wednesday.
Khamenei said he stood up against a cruel and aggressive enemy with unwavering conviction and struck them with tact and courage.
Khamenei also said that he left the indelible blow of October 7 as his legacy in the history of the region and then ascended the lofty platform of martyrdom with honor and dignity.
Sinwar took over as head of Hamas after the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in the Iranian capital, Tehran, in July.
