The victimized family has alleged that they are trying to politicize the land by occupying it illegally from the role of protector and eater. The family members said that the allegations involving BNP International Affairs Secretary Barrister Nasir Uddin Ahmed Asim in the case of forced house occupation are completely false, baseless and purposeful.
The real owners of the land made this complaint in a press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Saturday. Land owners Zakera Islam, Nasreen Sultana, Nahid Islam Monika, Abida Islam, Sarfuddin Sohag and Tabassum Ferdous Shawon were present.
In a written statement, Nahid Islam Monika said on behalf of the family, "It is with great regret that I inform you that on Friday Janaika Parveen may have been instigated by a particular person for the purpose of political revenge. A clean politician made a statement involving Barrister Nasir Uddin Ahmed Asim - which is completely false, baseless and purposeful.
He said, neither I nor any of my family have ever approached Barrister Asim in this matter and he knows nothing about it as far as I know. The falsehood involving Barrister Asim Sahib and the repeated mention of his name in the press conference proved that Parveen Gong and her patrons are indulging in a nefarious conspiracy for their own benefit. Besides, the names of some others have been implicated due to personal vendetta, which is purposeful and baseless.
Monika said, this house and land are ours, they are still occupying the house even though we are its real owners. If we hold a press conference, we will request the journalist brothers to rescue this house. We hope you will help us get justice by publishing news based on truth and accurate information.
He said, in fact, for almost 50 years, my father Nurul Islam Talukder had been legally buying and occupying this land. But today's press conference is to inform you about how Parveen Ganga illegally claimed ownership of the land without any documents and forcibly occupied the house on September 14.
