According to sources of Badda police station, Golam Sarwar Pintu, who was arrested, is a prominent accused in the statement of 4 murder cases and one attempted murder case in the anti-discrimination student movement. On August 20 and 21, two separate cases were registered in Badda police station regarding the murder of victims Hafizul and Suman Shikder. Later on the last 1 and 29 September. 2 more cases were registered in Badda police station regarding the murder of Sirajul Bepari and Sohag Mia. Besides, on September 8, victim Rubel Mia filed a case of attempted murder against him at Badda police station.

According to the statement of the registered cases, on July 19 and 20 and on August 5, Awami League leaders and activists armed with firearms and indigenous weapons attacked the anti-discrimination student crowd in Badda area. During the attack, the protesters were fired indiscriminately. The arrested Pintu actively participated in the attack. In their attack, victims Hafizul, Suman Shikder, Sirajul Bepari and Sohag Mia were killed and Rubel Mia was seriously injured.

Golam Sarwar Pintu was arrested after analyzing the intelligence information and the CCTV footage around the crime scene while investigating the cases filed in the murder case. Later he was sent to court.
