The name of the village was Sundarganj. In this village there was a long river, whose waves flowing over the swamps told the story of time. The inhabitants of the village consisted mainly of two communities: farmers and fishermen. The difference in mentality between the two communities created adverse consequences in the village.
One day, 18-year-old Lena was sitting on the river bank. He had a net on his shoulder, which he used when he came fishing with his father. The water of the river, bedecked with sunlight, seems to have created a melody. Suddenly, Ruhul appears there. Ruhul was a farmer with a twinkle in his eye and courage.
"What are you doing here?" Ruhul asked to know.
“Trying to catch fish,” Lena replied.
From that day they started talking. The time they met by the river increased and they got to know each other better. Leena was interested in agriculture and nature, and Ruhul was experienced in fishing. A strange affection was born in their conversation.
Days passed, and their love blossomed by the river. But rumors about their relationship started in the village. The division between the two communities became apparent. Ruhul's family could not accept his relationship with Leena. Leena was feeling the pain of her family.
One day, a meeting was called in the village. Quarrels started between the two communities. Ruhul and Leena decide to fight for their relationship. They converged on the banks of the river, where they began their love affair.
“We can cross this river,” Ruhul said. "You have to do something for love."
"Yes," Lena said. “Our love must be strong. Together we will make a new beginning.”
Meanwhile, the tension escalated after their families found out. Ruhul's father threatened Leena's family. But Leena and Ruhul made a vow to each other. They decide to fight for their love, overcoming the barriers of society.
One night, they met by the river. There they talked about their dreams. Leena said, “One day we will cross this river. Our love knows no bounds.”
Ruhul held her hand, “Yes, we will be together. No one can give us a break.”
But the pressure of the society continued to increase. One day, Leena's father spoke harshly to her. "Did you know that your relationship with Ruhul will destroy your future?"
Leena told her father, “I love Ruhul. We can be together.”
"No, if you continue this relationship, the future will be dark for you," said the father in frustration.
Then Leena went to the river bank and called Ruhul. They discussed. "What should we do?" Lena asked.
“We should go somewhere,” Ruhul said. "People here will never accept us."
The next day, they planned. They decided to leave the village. A new life will begin on the other side of the river. But before taking this decision, they should talk to the villagers.
One night, they came to the village square. Ruhul said, “We both love. We want to build a new life for ourselves. But we hope you will accept us."
The villagers were disappointed. Some people expressed support, but many opposed. "Do you know how harmful it is for our tradition to leave the village like this?" said an elder.
Leena and Ruhul remained firm. They knew their love was right. "We'll be on our way," Lena said. "We are hopeful that one day everything will change."
Finally, they plan to leave for a night by the river. They tried to cross the river in the darkness of night. But there was an obstacle on the way. Their families went out to find them. Their parents were seen running to the river bank.
Ruhul and Leena held each other's hands, pledging their love. But they knew, right now, their love had to protect each other. They crossed the river and went ahead in search of a new life.
This story teaches us that the power of love is above all. Social barriers, cultural differences—everything makes way for love. The river opens a new chapter for them, where they will find new meaning in their lives.
