In a city, where corruption and unrest are rampant among the people, there lived a young man. His name was Rahman. Rahman was the only child in his family and a lot of responsibilities fell upon him from a very early age. However, due to the pressure of the family, he got involved with bad company. At a young age he turned to drugs and crime.
One day, Rahman went to a party. There he experienced drug addiction for the first time. He fell into that habit instantly. In the beginning, he thought it was a part of the joy of his life. But he soon realizes that it is ruining his life. His family, friends and society continue to abandon him one by one.
In an unbearable night, Rahman loses everything. He was sitting in a dark alley, finding no meaning in his existence. His mind became burdened, and he began to seek help in one breath from Allah.
"O Allah, I have done many wrongs. Forgive me, I want to return," he cried. For the first time, Rahman realizes that true repentance does not mean simply regretting one's sins; Instead, bring your life back to the path of God.
Rahman regrets his sin and takes a decision. He goes to a local mosque. There he met an experienced imam, who convinced him of the importance of repentance.
The Imam said, "Repentance is returning to Allah. If you truly desire it, Allah will forgive you." Rahman becomes optimistic with these words and resolves to start his new life.
He cut off contact with his old friends and started looking for new, pious ones. Focused on Islamic knowledge, began reciting the Qur'an and connecting with Allah through prayer.
Rahman's new life was not easy. He was being tried in various ways by former friends. But Rahman was determined. He prayed daily and asked Allah for forgiveness.
A few months passed like this. One day, Rahman decides to return his family. He went to them and said, "I've changed. I'm not the same." The family couldn't believe the change in him at first, but gradually they saw the real change in him.
Rahman told his father, "I want to start my life anew from today. I want to walk in the path of Allah." His father took pride in doing what he wanted to do.
Now Rahman started working as a volunteer at an Islamic center. There he tried to guide the youth to the right path of Islam.
He used to tell them, "Be careful before you go astray like me. Allah's mercy is infinite. Allah will forgive you only if you repent."
Rahman realizes that repentance is not only for oneself, but also to set an example for others. He used to highlight the struggle of a young man to come to the path of Allah.
Thus, Rahman was able to receive the mercy of Allah in his life. He realizes that the only way to turn from sin is to turn to Allah and follow His path.
As the years go by, Rahman is today a successful Islamic speaker. His discourses penetrated deeply into the minds of the youth and drew them to repentance. He always said, "Never think that Allah will not forgive you. His mercy is always open."
Thus Rahman's life took a new shape. By Allah's mercy and repentance he entered a new chapter. Rahman understands, life is a journey; Where mistakes and corrections, both are important.
Repentance, in fact, is a new beginning, which leads to reconciliation with God. Rahman's story teaches us that when we turn to Allah, He forgives us for all our mistakes and gives us new opportunities.
