This is what the Indian news agency Press Trust of India (PTI) said about a PCB source. If India doesn't want to stay in Pakistan considering the security risk, in this case, PCB wants to open the way for them to travel and play from their own country. In this case, Babar-Rizwan's board's proposal - India should camp in Delhi or Chandigarh. From there India can easily go to Lahore by chartered flight.
According to a report by PTI, the PCB has verbally advised the BCCI to hold the Indian team's camp in Delhi or Chandigarh/Mohali. After that they can go to Lahore by chartered flight to play the match. However, the board did not go through any written process on the matter. Sources said, 'The issue has been discussed between the top brass of the two countries to ensure that India can go and play in Pakistan.'
The Champions Trophy is scheduled to be held from February 19 to March 9 next year at three venues in Pakistan, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi. For the logistical convenience of the Indian team, the PCB has held their matches in Lahore, which is close to the country's border. As per the proposed schedule – India's first match in the Champions Trophy is on February 20, against Bangladesh. Then on 23 February against Pakistan and 2 March against New Zealand in their last group stage matches.
Apart from this, whether India goes to Pakistan to play the tournament or not, the PCB wants to host the final in Lahore. However, there is also the possibility of hybrid models. Ultimately, if India do not play in the country, their matches may be held outside Pakistan. PTI mentioned that the ICC is thinking of Dubai or Sri Lanka as an alternative venue.

Earlier, India last played a series against Pakistan in 2008. However, in the 2012-13 season, under the leadership of Misbah-ul-Haq, the two teams were supposed to play a three-match ODI series on Indian soil. But later it was suspended. After that, the bilateral series was stopped as the political relations between the two countries gradually became hostile. The Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan for the first time since 1996 when an ICC event will return to the country.
