Apart from this, he said that the government will soon form a search committee to reorganize the Election Commission, according to the chief adviser. The chief adviser to the political parties who participated in the dialogue yesterday said that the interim government will form a six-member search committee from a non-partisan position.

Yesterday, 10 political parties, including Gano Forum, LDP, National Democratic Alliance, 12 parties, National Mukti Council, Labor Party, Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP), Jasad (Ambia), National Democratic Movement held a dialogue with the Interim Government Advisory Council led by the Chief Adviser. The government again started dialogue with political parties on October 5. But due to Durga Puja few groups remained, who participated in the dialogue yesterday.

In response to a question about preventing 14 parties, including Awami League, from participating in the elections, Mahfuz Alam said, 'Those who participated in the last three elections, were illegally elected and cheated the people. The government's position on this matter is clear—will create barriers to participation in their political programs. You will see how the barrier will be implemented. It has legal and administrative aspects. Things will become clear when the election process starts.'
In response to another question, he said, the government is reviewing the matter of banning Awami League or 14 parties. The decision will be taken in consultation with all political parties and all types of stakeholders. He mentioned that the government alone will not decide on this matter.
Mahfuz Alam said, 'National Party has given silent support to Awami League's fascism. They legitimized illegal elections. For this reason, we are not keeping the Jatiya Party in dialogue for now.'
The Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser said that in the dialogue, the political leaders wanted to know what the government is doing about the reform process, Awami League politics and people involved in money looting and other crimes. They also talked about the genocide trial.

In response to a question as to how many people involved in the massacre fled outside the country, Chief Adviser's press secretary Shafiqul Alam said, 'There was no government in the country from August 5 to 8 after the mass uprising. However, he pointed out that the government was trying its best to arrest those involved in the massacre and said that the government is adamant in this position.
In response to another question, Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Muzamdar said that there have been suggestions from some political parties to increase the number of members of the Advisory Council and they have proposed to evaluate the work of the Advisers. The Chief Adviser listened carefully to this proposal and said that it will be informed at a later date.
