Jumbangla Desk: Jahangir Hossain and Sadek Hossain, convenors of the Municipal Volunteer Party, have been accused of bribing a teacher named Harun Or Rashid in Jhenaidah's Kaliganj. Teacher Harun Or Rashid is the General Secretary of Upazila Secondary Teachers Association and Head Teacher of Chanchra Secondary School. Teacher Haroon Or Rashid has given a written complaint to the police station in this incident.

Accused Jahangir Hossain is working as an office assistant of Mobarak Ali Secondary School and Sadek Hossain of Panchkahunia Secondary School.

Teacher Haroon Or Rashid said that he was sitting in a tin shop in front of Chanda cinema hall on Saturday (October 19) around 8 pm. Around 10-15 people including Jahangir and Sadek came to him there. They came and started abusing him and asked him to get on an easybike. When he refused to get on the easy bike, they hit him with sticks. Later, they forcibly picked him up on the easy bike and took him to Fayla Gorasthanpara area.

He also said that they took him there and tried to sign a resignation letter. He denied it. Jahangir and Sadek threatened to kill him at one stage. He was then forced to sign. They then videotaped that he was not coerced into signing. They then took off his blood-stained shirt and sent him home with a genji.
