Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has pledged to continue supporting the Palestinian struggle for freedom and dignity. He reiterated his strong support for Palestine on Saturday after continuous attacks on Israeli occupied territories and Gaza Strip.

In a meeting held in Istanbul, Erdogan told local officials on the Palestinian issue, 'Türkiye as the enemy of the oppressors and the protector of the oppressed; Stand by the fight for freedom and dignity against genocide in Palestine.'

Referring to the Prime Minister of Israel, Erdoğan said, "The United States, Europe and the United Nations Security Council have become mere toys in the hands of a merciless murderer known as Netanyahu." 20,000 children died. But no one came forward to say 'this is shameful'. Thousands of women have died, while women's rights organizations have not uttered a word.'

He further said, '175 journalists have died but the international media is not paying attention at all. The responsibility for the massacre of 50,000 innocents undoubtedly rests with Israel's illegal occupation forces. Those who give unconditional support to the Israeli government and send arms and ammunition are also openly complicit in this genocide.'

Erdogan then paid tribute to the leaders and members of the Palestinian cause, 'who have become legends not only through their struggle, but also through their martyrdom. Watered the land of Gaza with their blessed blood. I pray for God's mercy on Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was recently martyred.'
