Cases have been registered in different parts of the country including the capital Dhaka in the name of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the charge of genocide in the student movement. The chief legal officer of the state Attorney General Advocate Md. Sheikh Hasina addressed these cases. Asaduzzaman said, if you have courage, come to the country and face the case.
He said these things to the journalists in a briefing after the review of the judgment of the sixteenth amendment of the Constitution was resolved by the Supreme Judicial Council on Sunday.
In response to another question, the Attorney General said that there is an opportunity for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take measures to bring back Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina can be brought back even with the cooperation of Interpol.
On this day, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court resolved the review of the judgment of the Sixteenth Amendment of the Constitution by reinstating the Supreme Judicial Council. As a result, the power to remove judges returned to the hands of the Supreme Judicial Council.
The Appellate Division bench headed by Chief Justice Syed Refat Ahmed gave this order after hearing the review of the judgment of the Appellate Division invalidating the 16th Amendment of the Constitution brought by the Parliament to remove the judges.
