Mystery of the Lost City

In this story we will follow a young man who sets out to uncover the secrets of the lost city. On the expedition he discovers history, love, and the deeper truths

Ark is a college student with a special interest in history. His favorite subject is the mystery of lost cities. One day, for a class project, he decided to go in search of the lost city of 'Aamaan'. Rumors in the village suggest that the city was a very prosperous city in ancient times, which suddenly disappeared.

Ork's father is an archaeologist. He sometimes told stories about the wonderful city. The stories told by the father were deeply embedded in Orc's mind. So he started digging through his father's old books and documents. After much searching, an old map came into his hands, where the location of the remarkable city was indicated.

It was a remote mountainous region. Ark went out with some friends. Among them were Mitul, who reads science and is brave, and Sumi, an imaginative girl, who loves to find some thrill behind every mystery.

The three of them started the journey together. They faced many challenges on the road. First had to enter a deep forest. There they had to face many dangers to survive. In the evening they set up a small camp. Sumi lit the fire and started talking.

"You know what the people of this town were like?" Sumi said. “Dad used to say they were magicians. They had incredible power.”

Mitul smiled. “It's actually a fantasy world. Science says there must be logic behind everything.”

"But sometimes the line between fantasy and reality blurs," Ork said. His father's words became clear in his mind.

The next morning they started again. Some strange stones and ancient symbols were seen along the way. Orc realized that they were actually moving towards the city. After some time, they reached a fountain. The spring water was clear and sweet. Orc and his friends rested there for a while.

“It's just like the picture!” Mitul exclaimed. "There's definitely something special here."

Orcs decided in their hearts that they would spend a night near this spring. As they rested in the dark of night, Orc dreamed of a mysterious city. People were smiling and happy there. But suddenly, the colors of the city began to fade and the orcs began to call out. "Help us!"

Early in the morning, the orcs thought, they must try for the secrets of this city. They set off again and after some time reached an abandoned village. Many ancient symbols and signs were seen there. They also found some local people in the village. The locals told them, having heard stories of the wonderful city, but never told anyone of the dangers involved in going there.

"The townspeople wanted to protect their privacy," said an old man. "They knew that if this secret got out, their lives would be worth less."

To the Orc, these words added to the importance of their expedition. They were on the right track now. With the help of the local people, a small footpath was found, which climbed up the hill. They had to spend another night to reach there.

At night they were again sitting by the fire and talking. Mitul said, “Now we are close to the city, but what if something terrible happens there?”

Sumi said, “Then we have to stay together. Many brave people are known in history. We must be like them.”

Orc felt a strong commitment to his friends. The next morning they started again. After reaching the top of the hill, they saw a huge ruin. This is a truly remarkable city remnant. Joy and fear mingled in Orc's heart.

Entering the ruins, they found a variety of symbols, images, and artifacts. But they stopped when they came in front of a huge wall. There was a text, which changed their expression. "Only those who have true love in their hearts will see."

Ark began to think, what does this mean? He realized that there is friendship, trust and love between them. This feeling will give them strength.

Now they wanted to know what is the secret of the city. Entering a small room, they found an ancient book. The book was written about the history of the city, its people and their landmarks. Ark started reading, and saw colorful pictures on the pages of the book. One particular section read, “Love is the life of the city.”

"It's for us!" said Ork in surprise.

The city was not actually lost, but those who understood the meaning of true love and friendship moved to this city. This city was a new beginning. Orc and his friends decide that they will tell everyone about this mystery and draw people's attention to the city.

When they returned, a deep bond developed between them. They realized that the mystery of history is not limited to geography, but to people. Ork and his friends prepared for their new expedition. They knew, in fact, a lost city is never lost, if there is true love and friendship.

That's how the story ends, but the mystery will always lead to new chapters.
