This information was reported in a message posted by the office of Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Interior Sheikh Fahad Youssef Saud Al Sabah on social media and microblogging site X.
In this context, it is also said in the message that the government projects which have a duration of less than one year have been categorized as temporary projects by the government of Kuwait.
Incidentally, Kuwait, like other wealthy countries in the Middle East, has more immigrants than its original inhabitants. In order to control the number of immigrants, the government of Kuwait indefinitely suspended the issuance of various types of visas, including working, tourism, and family, from the end of June 2022.
However, there is a labor shortage in the country. Because Kuwaiti citizens and residents are not interested in doing temporary or menial jobs.

Kuwaiti government officials said that it was mainly for this reason that the decision was made to issue working visas to foreign workers willing to work on temporary government projects. As long as the project is there, so is the validity of the visa. The visa will also expire after the completion of the project.
