According to a report in the New York Times, Bill Gates wanted to keep this information confidential. However, despite giving financial support, he did not publicly support Democratic candidate Harris. Gates expressed concern about a second term for Donald Trump in private phone calls with friends and associates. In particular, his foundation 'Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation' is concerned about possible cuts to family planning and global health programs. Gates, however, said he would work with any candidate.
