This information was given in the weather special notice No. 4 signed by meteorologist Mohammad Abdur Rahman Khan on Wednesday (October 23) morning.

According to the notification, the deep depression over East Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas moved further west-northwestwards and intensified into a cyclonic 'wing' over the same area (16.20 North Latitude and 90.00 East Longitude).

It was 695 km south-southwest of Chittagong sea port, 620 km south-southwest of Cox's Bazar sea port, 695 km south-southeast of Mongla sea port and 645 km south-southeast of Payra sea port at 6 am today. It may move further west-northwestward and intensify.


Maximum sustained wind speed is 62 km/h within 54 km of the cyclone center, increasing to 88 km/h in gusts or gusts. The sea is very rough in the vicinity of the cyclone center.

Due to which Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to lower warning number 1 and display remote warning signal number 2.
