Jumbangla Desk: Students from all levels of Rangpur have protested and human chained with a memorandum to the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government demanding the implementation of the Teesta Master Plan and the liberation of the proletarian people of the riverside. At that time they warned Paubo.
This human chain was held in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner of the city on Wednesday (October 23) morning.
At this time, the participants held various placards and shouted slogans for the long-term demand.
The leaders of the river movement in the human chain said that the party belongs to everyone, the Teesta movement belongs to everyone. A canal cutting program should be started as soon as possible. If Teesta survives, farmers will survive. Every year, houses along with crops are destroyed by floods, but no action is taken.
At the time, they warned the officials of the Water Development Board (PUBO) and urged them to start the Teesta Master Plan slowly instead of burning every year to protect the dam by spending crores of rupees. Otherwise they warned of building a Durbar movement.
Around 1,000 people living along the banks of the river including Teesta, Dharla, Dudhkumar were present at the time.
