Starting from leadership and self-sacrifice, Bangladesh Chhatra League has played a role as a simultaneous creator in all the movements of the people. Chhatra League has been accused of brutal attacks on ordinary students during the agitation. In this context, the organization's commentary, 'purposefully, as part of the 'meticulous plan', Bangladesh Chhatra League has been deliberately tried to make the Bangladesh Chhatra League stand against the students, which is against the spirit of the liberation war and against the state.
Claiming that the interim government has banned the Chhatra League to cover up its 'failure', they wrote in the statement, 'The illegal and unconstitutional government continues to ban a traditional organization like the Bangladesh Chhatra League to divert people's attention to other sectors in order to hide its socio-economic and political failures.'
Incidentally, the announcement of banning Chhatra League issued on Wednesday said that during various times after the independence of Bangladesh, especially during the last 15 years of dictatorial rule, Bangladesh Awami League's sister organization Bangladesh Chhatra League has been involved in various public security issues, including murder, torture, common room-based harassment, seat trading in dormitories, tendering, rape and sexual harassment. was involved in disruptive activities and the related documentary information has been published in all the major media of the country and the guilt of the leaders and workers of the organization has also been proved in court in some terrorist incidents.
Therefore, the government, by virtue of sub-section (1) of section 18 of the 'Anti-Terrorism Act, 2009', banned Bangladesh Awami League's fraternal organization 'Bangladesh Chhatra League' and the student organization named 'Bangladesh Chhatra League' in Schedule-II of the said Act. Listed as Prohibited Entity. It will be effective immediately.
