It is said that Cyclone 'Dana', which is located in East-Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining West-Central Bay of Bengal, has moved further north-northwestward and has become a strong cyclone in the same area. It was 605 km southwest of Chittagong seaport, 560 km southwest of Cox's Bazar seaport, 510 km south of Mongla seaport and 490 km south-southwest of Payra seaport at 3 pm on Wednesday. It may move further north-northwest.
The bulletin also said that maximum sustained winds within 64 km of the cyclone center are 90 kmph, increasing to 110 kmph in the form of gusts or gusts.
The sea is very rough in the vicinity of the strong cyclone center. Due to this, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra sea ports have been asked to show local warning signal number 3.
