A case has been registered in their name at Shahbag police station. Police said that the arrested will be sent to court.
Mohammad Khalid Mansoor, OC of Shahbag police station, told Samakal that the police has filed a case against 60 unidentified people, including 26 names, for obstructing police work and vandalism.
On Wednesday (October 23) at 2:50 pm, they ignored the police and entered the secretariat. At that time the students said 'there is no room for discrimination in my Sonar Bengal; We Want Justice; There is no place for discrimination in Mochad's Bengal; Who are you, who am I, student-student; Aaps na Sangram, Sangram-struggle' etc slogans.
The members of the Bangladesh Army and members of various law and order forces on duty at the secretariat called for a peaceful discussion by stopping the slogans of the agitating students.
The law enforcement officers on duty initially requested them to leave. But as they did not move, the law enforcement officers chased them. They were also beaten.
The students were chased by police and army personnel and dispersed. Some students were trapped inside the secretariat. They were arrested and taken to the police prison van.
Some of the aggrieved students say that their results have deteriorated due to mistakes in subject mapping. Some lost or burned their claim books and their results were poor. In this situation, some are demanding to publish results through subject mapping in all subjects. Some demand indiscriminate results.
Students complain that they are seeing various inconsistencies in the subject mapping. Students of Sylhet board got subject mapping in most subjects but students of other boards got discriminatory results.
Gusts with gusts of 80 km/h are expected in parts of the country during the evening
Students also said, we want results based on equality. The board has given good results to some and bad results to some. But we wrote well. We would like to cancel this result at the earliest and re-evaluate the deprived.
