He said, now there is a demand that the President should resign. We have discussed the matter. Discussions are also going on with political parties. Hope we can reach a decision based on consensus.

A meeting of the advisory council was held at the Tejgaon chief adviser's office on Thursday. Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan said this at a press conference organized at the Foreign Service Academy later in the evening.

Rizwana Hasan also said about the President's resignation, 'It is a political issue. Our government is a product of popular uprising. So it is a matter of seeing whether every matter will be in the light of the constitution or not. It is not possible to say how long it will take. It will depend on the political parties.'

He said, what the President said has also been brought to our notice. There is a movement to demand the resignation of the President, the demand for resignation is also being considered. It has been said that the resignation of a President from a political party may create a constitutional vacuum. Some of their senior leaders say that there will be no constitutional crisis. He said that all these issues have been discussed in the advisory council.

The adviser said there have been demands for the president's resignation and the demand is getting stronger. It is considered to be taking the form of a mass demand. Therefore, political parties need to clarify their position on the resignation of the President, he said.

He said, there will be no delay in deciding the resignation of the President. Will not be rushed again. Will be taken soon.

The advisor said that a policy decision has been taken in the advisory council to make the age limit for entry into government service maximum 32 years.

In response to a question, he said, 'If the same person takes the exam repeatedly, not all may get a chance. Considering those issues we have decided to give BCS exam maximum three times. No new decision has been made regarding the retirement period. 32 years the matter is final. This is no longer a chance to change.'

Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam and Chief Adviser's Special Assistant Mahfuz Alam were present in the press conference.
