Jumbangla Desk: Md. The National Citizens Committee feels that Sahabuddin can no longer hold the post of President.
At a rally in the capital on Friday (October 25) afternoon, the leaders of the civic committee alleged that Sahabuddin was plotting to destabilize the country by sitting in Bangabhaban. He should be removed from the post of President based on the opinion of the political parties.
The National Citizen Committee held this rally at the Haji Abdul Alim Eidgah ground in Lalbagh of the capital 'with the aim of abolishing the fascist system and implementing a new political settlement'. This is their third rally titled 'Dhaka Rising'. More than two hundred people participated in the rally.
Earlier, they held the first rally in Jatrabari on 6 October and the second rally in Merul Badda on 18 October. The National Citizen Committee has mentioned Lalbagh, Kamrangirchar, Chawkbazar, Bangshal and Kotwali areas of the capital as the 'pulse points' of the student uprising.
Nasiruddin Patwari, the convener of the National Citizen Committee, alleged in the rally that the President is trying to destabilize the country before the blood stains dry. He said that on August 5, the matter of the President has been resolved. The constitution became invalid on the day of the coup d'état. Sahabuddin can no longer stay in Bangabhaban. He demanded the removal of this president based on the opinion of national political parties.
