Thursday night at 12 o'clock University Proctor Prof. Dr. Saifuddin Ahmed broke their hunger by drinking bottled water.


Redwanul Islam, a DU student on hunger strike, said, "We hope that the terrorists who attacked the students in the July revolution will be quickly arrested and brought under the maximum punishment."

In the statement, Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the interim government is determined to arrest the terrorists and murderers involved in the July-August massacre and bring them to justice.

Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, "The necessary instructions have been given to the law enforcement forces to ensure that no innocent people are harassed during the operation to arrest the terrorists."
