Jumbangla Desk: The Jatiya Party withdrew from the ultimatum of anti-discrimination student movement convener Hasnat Abdullah and central coordinator Sarjis Alam in Rangpur.

Mostafizar Rahman, co-chairman of Jatiya Party and former mayor of Rangpur City Corporation, said this in response to the questions of journalists after a meeting organized at the central office of Jatiya Party on Central Road of Rangpur city on Friday (October 25) night.

He said, since the Inspector General of Police is coming on the day Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam are coming to Rangpur, we have moved away from this apparent ultimatum. Hasnat and Surjis will not be obstructed in Rangpur. I don't want any chaos in Rangpur on the day of the IGP function.

Earlier, Awami League's friend had complained that the Jatiya Party was opposed to sitting in a political dialogue. Ten days later, the date of the exchange meeting between Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam was fixed in Rangpur. After that, the National Party withdrew from the decision.
