He said, I have already spoken to the Honorable Advisor of the Ministry of Commerce regarding the amendment of the Consumer Rights Act, the matter is under process.
The advisor said this while speaking as the chief guest at the consumer rights conference organized by consumer rights organization Conscious Consumers Society (CCS) on Saturday (October 26).
Asif Mahmud said, we hope to be successful in reducing the problem of product price that we see every year through the strict implementation of the Consumer Rights Act.
Addressing the youth, Asif Mahmud said that the farmers' market in Bangladesh is very big. About 15 percent of GDP. It is good opportunity for business. Those who want to work on it will improve themselves as well as benefit the public welfare.
He said, there will be a call for the youth to come forward in the agricultural sector. All kinds of support will be given to them by the government. If there is any obstacle, the government will deal with it.
CCS executive director Palash Mahmud said in the conference, the volunteers of the consumer rights organization Conscious Consumers Society (CCS) are working for the society and the state by spending their own pocket money and not with any fund money.
