Jumbangla Desk: In Gopalganj's Kotalipara, there have been allegations of tearing down banners and festoons of BNP. However, BNP is settling the matter through arbitration.
A video of the incident on Friday (October 25) went viral on social media, sparking tension among BNP leaders and activists. And the incident happened last Thursday (October 24) near Amtali Union Parishad of Kotalipara Upazila.
It is known that Munim Islam (17), son of Nur Islam of Amtali village, Siam Khan (17) son of Litu Khan and Roni Mia (11), son of Monir Mia, tore the BNP banner and festoon hung in front of Amtali Union Parishad on Thursday night. Later that banner festoon was burnt.
Later, when a video of BNP's banners and festoons being torn and burnt went viral on social media, tension arose among BNP leaders and workers. It was later resolved through arbitration.
Kotalipara Upazila BNP president SM Mohiuddin said, those who are doing this work are not minors. The result is being resolved through village arbitration. Already the family of those accused have put up 5 banners. However, if it is not resolved through village arbitration, legal action will be taken later.
