According to the official report, 11 thousand 930 people were arrested for violating residency laws, 5 thousand 649 people were arrested for illegally crossing the border and 3 thousand 317 people were arrested for violating labor laws.
The report also said that 1,374 people were arrested for illegally entering Saudi Arabia. Of whom 55 percent are Ethiopians, 43 percent are Yemenis and 2 percent are residents of other countries. Besides, another 107 people were arrested while trying to cross the neighboring country.
According to the Ministry of Interior of Saudi Arabia, if someone is caught illegally entering Saudi Arabia, there is a provision of at least 15 years in prison and a fine of 1 million Saudi Riyals. Besides, if someone gives shelter to illegal persons, his permanent property can be confiscated.
