Jumbangla Desk: The leaders of the anti-discrimination movement and the National Citizen Committee said that they have discussed three issues with the BNP leaders, including the removal of the President. They said that although no deadline has been fixed, they have discussed with the BNP that the President should go. BNPO has also assured to discuss the decision in their own forum.
Hasnat Abdullah, convener of the anti-discrimination student movement, said these things after a meeting of a 9-member delegation with the party's general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan on Saturday evening.
After the closed-door meeting of about two hours, Hasnat told reporters that there was a discussion between them to change the position of BNP on the removal of the President.
He said, on October 23, we called for national unity. Another obstacle to the abolition of fascism is now before us the removal of the President.
Hasnat said, we are discussing with the political parties of the country about our new political arrangement. I discussed with BNP today.
Hasnat also said that in the meeting with the Jamaat, they agreed on the issue of removal of the President. He said, we had a meeting with the Islamic movement on the same issue. They also want to remove the president from the seat of morality.
Hasnat Abdullah also said that a meeting will be held with the Democracy Forum, the 12-party alliance and the People's Rights Council on these issues.
Meanwhile, National Citizens Committee convener Nasiruddin Patwari said that although no deadline has been set, they are adamant about removing the president.

BNP's media cell informed that seven members of anti-discrimination student movement and citizen's committee participated in the meeting. However, while talking to the media after the meeting, the convener of the National Citizens Committee identified 9 people.
They are anti-discrimination student movement convener Hasnat Abdullah, spokesperson Umama Fatema, member secretary Arif Sohail, chief organizer Abdul Hannan Masud, coordinator Rifat Rashid, National Citizen Committee convener Naseeruddin Patwari, spokesperson Samantha Sharmin, member secretary Aktar Hossain, member Ariful Islam Adeeb.
Earlier in the afternoon, four political parties including Nap Bhasani held a meeting with BNP's Lianjo Committee.
From the post of president. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir along with leaders of anti-discrimination student movement and National Citizen Committee met with political parties to build a consensus in favor of Sahabuddin's demand to be removed.
On Saturday around 5:30 pm, the delegation of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and National Citizen Committee went to the BNP Chairperson's office for a meeting. Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed and Joint Secretary General Shahiduddin Chowdhury Annie were present on behalf of BNP in the meeting.
On October 23, Salahuddin Ahmed and three top leaders of BNP held a meeting with the chief adviser. Later, Salahuddin told reporters that if there is a vacancy in the post of the President, there will be a constitutional and political crisis, which BNP does not want.
