Jaiswal kept the run wheel going with Shivman Gill coming to the crease. Gill got out with 23 runs off 31 balls for the team's 96 runs. However, Jaiswal picked up a fifty in aggressive batting. He scored 77 runs off 65 balls before the team was dismissed for 127 runs.

India's batting line-up collapsed after Jaiswal's departure. India lost 4 wickets with a gap of only 40 runs. Virat Kohli 17, Sharfraz Khan 9, Washington Sundar 21 and Rizhov Pant returned to the dressing room before opening the account of runs.

After that, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jadeja tried to create some resistance. These two batsmen made a pair of 39 runs. However, Ashwin got out with 18 runs off 34 balls for the team's 206 runs.
